Do You Have An Exotic Pet? What Is The Weirdest Pet You’ve Ever Had? Have?
I have a pet tarantula and so many people ask me WHY. Because she’s pretty and actually quite gentle. It’s amazing how many interesting critters are out there. One day I’m going to have a jungle room with all sorts of interesting animals in it!

I’ve had all kinds of animals in my life, since I love all kinds of animals. As a kid I had a duck and a chicken, a goat, a rabbit, rats, birds, lots of fish, a huge 5 1/2ft. iguana and of course dogs and cats (not all at once though, lol). I also ended up taking many charity case pets that my sister got and didn’t want anymore, a salamander, a dwarf hamster and a mudskipper fish (they are so cool, they have little front legs and can walk up out of the water).
Right now I have 1 chihuahua whos my babylove and 3 hermit crabs that are such interesting, cool little critters.
I would like to get another reptile, a Beardie or a Tokay Gecko (mean but gorgeous animals), they can be such rewarding pets if you work with them. I also want to start another couple fish tanks, this time with cichlids and predatory fish [not piranhas - the bigger, badder ones like wolfies! =)]
Herpatology and fish keeping are two really great, though time consuming and expensive, hobbies to have.
My dad and I are intreged by weird animals,we have or have had……
Elk(5), A surgarglider, a ferrit, some axes, eganas, a boa, a bear, hedge hogs, allagator,and a few more.
My Son was actually the one into exotic pets. He had a sugarglider, hedgehog, monitor, ferret, good old Dachshund, california corn snake and my all time favorite a prarie dog (before they were restricted!).
His sister had the usual hamsters, guinea pig, parakeet and cat.
A zoo? Well these were over a period of 3 years. The pet store loved us.
