Does Anyone Know A Good Pet Bird?
I am looking into buying a pet bird, but i need one that only has a life span of only about five years. Its also has to be friendly to children and fun. Any suggestions?

i disagree with a lot of people saying birds from pet stores are all nasty , if you find an appropriate bird store who uses only a reputable bird breeder such as a budgie breeder then you will have no problems the problem is with the way the birds are treated once they are in store. my budgie was bought from a pet store and he was brilliant he was kept in a good condition and fed well, kept entertained by toys and by humans , the store owners talked to them and gave them human contact. i do agree that this is rare but it can happen.if you are looking for it to be tamed straight away though then maybe going through a breeder is a better option for you personally.budgies are great pets for children as they are small and really easy to look after -however, budgies can live 15 to 20 years, its not likely you will find a bird with a life span as short as you want, id maybe look into another pet such as a hamster etc.
