How Do I Go About Moving My Pet Cat To A Different Country With Me?

I have a cat which is 15 months old which I plan on taking with me to another country from south-east Europe to UK and I’m wondering the easiest way of going about this, Plane, train etc.
I would like to hear from anyone has had any experience doing this or something similar and what is required to do so(travel documents, veterinary procedures etc) and roughly how much it cost.
Thanks!

As the first poster said, it is important to contact your vet, s/he will be more knowledgeable on what needs to be done.
You will need to contact the consulate of the country you are moving too and see what vaccinations/veterinary care is required to enter the country. Make sure you get this in writing so that when you get there you have proof that you followed instructions to the letter and they can’t just say you didn’t comply. You will probably need to have your cat fully vaccinated more than 30 days but less than a year before you move.

Ive moved with my pets to another country, and depending on the country you may need a pet passport. Usually the pet will also need a rabies vaccine whihc must be done a while before travelling so i’d check with your vet as soon as possible. Your local vet will probably be the best person to ask because they will need to fill in the paperwork anyway so will probably have more info on it including pet transportation companies, they usually transport them via air freight in the cargo hold of a plane,
    Good Luck!! :D
