How Has Your Pet (dog Or Cat) Helped You With Your Loneliness?
My fiance and I just broke up and I’m trying to stay single for as long as humanly possible until I get my head straight.
Should I get a dog? Will that help me feel less lonely? I don’t have a roommate and it’s too quiet here.
How has your dog helped you get through tough stuff?
YES you should get a dog, my cats are lazy but sometimes when they get play full they are fun to watch, but dogs are always so fun to be around when im riding my horses one of my dog loves to be with me even if he has to come along and sometimes i let him ride in the saddle with me LOL
but dogs really help you out, when your sad they lick you and are always happy, they can sense your feelings and will cooperate with you! i have had golden retrievers, boarder collies, and other breeds of dogs, i think that you should get a athletic dog like a golden retriever or a boarder collie they are so much fun but any dog is ok its what kind you prefer- i have had them and still do! i think that you should get a dog! go for it! they make life fun!
I think thats a great idea! I adopted 2 cats and they have helped me through so much. I cannot imagine a life without them now. They sleep next to me, they meow for attention, they cuddle up on my lap, and they give me company when I am lonely. I think dogs are great too but I couldn’t get them since I live in a dog free apartment complex. My little orange and white tabby cat was the first cat I got, and I got him right after I broke up with my ex. It was a serious relationship and we lived together, so I felt really lonely. My little kitten would come up to me purring and would sit in my lap when I would cry, like he knew something was wrong. My newest kitty was actually supposed to be a buddy for my other cat, but shes so cuddly now. She has to sleep next to me every night, stretched out on her back with her head on my arm like a person haha. She is a big sweetie. Also its a proven fact that people who have pets are less likely to be depressed or sad. They can also help with anxiety disorders and lower blood pressure.
Yes get a dog.
May I recommend a breed? A mutt from the pound.
And walking for 1 hour a day with your dog is great too.
30minutes in the morning and 30minutes at night [Depending on breeds]
You feel very happy after wards too.
But in saying that, most dogs live for 13 years only.
Yet cats that are easier too manage live up too 20 years +
Get a cat. A friendly one.
My cat helps me all the time. She knows when I’m sad and/or sick and she curls up next to me, and I’ve only had her for a month
