I adopted 2 cats and they have helped me through so much. I cannot imagine a life without them now. They sleep next to me, they meow for attention, they cuddle up on my lap, and they give me company when I am lonely. I think dogs are great too but I couldn't get them since I live in a dog free apartment complex. My little orange and white tabby cat was the first cat I got, and I got him right after I broke up with my ex. It was a serious relationship and we lived together, so I felt really lonely. My little kitten would come up to me purring and would sit in my lap when I would cry, like he knew something was wrong. My newest kitty was actually supposed to be a buddy for my other cat, but shes so cuddly now. She has to sleep next to me every night, stretched out on her back with her head on my arm like a person haha. She is a big sweetie. Also its a proven fact that people who have pets are less likely to be depressed or sad. They can also help with anxiety disorders and lower blood pressure. I think thats a great idea!
