Is There Anywhere In Ireland Where I Can Insure My Pet Cat?
Is there anywhere in Ireland where I can insure my pet cat? I have just moved back from England with him. I have tried the only company I could find (starts with A and ends in Z) and they refused to insure him as he was over 7 years old!!! I need him insured. Surely there has to be more than one insurance company for pets in the whole country!!! If not it’s a pathetic and sad state of affairs. In the UK, the insurance companies are crying out for my business!!

Hi, unfortunately pet insurance has really only grown in Ireland in the last decade & Allianz are the main provider. It’s terrible that you can’t get cover as your cat is over 7 years.
Becuase Ireland is a member of the EU, insurance providers from other states are entitled to provide cover for any EU member. Based on this, its not necessary to limit your searchs to Irish based companies. Maybe contact your previous provider in the UK & see if they would be willing to continute to cover your cat in Ireland.

if there is a Salisbury’s supermarket they do pet insurance and i would highly recommend them
