My Friend Is Moving To Scotland From Australia And Wants To Take Her Pet Cats?

How does she go about getting them into Scotland?
How long will it take?
What can she do in order to make it easy on the animals?
Any other information that you can provide would be great!
Cheers

Has any heard about this pet+cats product: 101 FREE Cooking Tips? I actually have used it and found it to be excellent.

She will not need to put her cats into quarantine at either end of their journey. Australia is one of the countries to which the UK’s PET Travel Scheme applies and provided certain rules have been adhered to, cats and dogs from here can enter the UK without going into quarantine.
    See http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/quaranti… for all information.

First of all let me say there is normally a 6 months quarantine in the UK (united Kingdom) which includes Scotland. I ask you to Google search Scotland Quarantine and you will be reading for awhile. the answers are all there. Be patient!! I have taken a poodle to Europe/Asia and the Americas, it’s costly, sometimes you have to supply fotos of the animal, and of course health documents. Be kind to the animals, a vet will supply you with sugar cubes/tranquilizers to sedate the animal while traveling, another tip, instead of paying big bucks on the plane, declare the animals as excess baggage!! Good Luck, thanks for not turning them loose!!
