We Have Termites And Pet Birds. Can Termidor Be Used To Get Rid Of The Termites Without Hurting The Birds?
The company we have hired states that we don’t need to move the birds upstairs or out of the house. That would be great but we want to make sure that this product can be used safely.

When we had our house treated for termites, the company told me that termidor would kill the birds. We had to use a different termite treatment method to rid the house of termites. They put those Sentricon stakes in the ground all around the house. I was assured that this method was safe for the birds and would effectively eliminate the termites. If I were you I’d get a second or even 3rd and 4th opinion.

The active ingredient in the product is called Fipronil and it is much to toxic for you to use ESPECIALLY around birds. See below:
