My little black-and-white cat Tag was my little self-appointed stress therapy cat. If I came home tired and started doing chores around the house, she seemed to know and would fuss at me to sit down so she could sit in my lap. She mostly did it when I was tired or stressed out. I’ve heard that just petting a cat or dog will help lower blood pressure a few points. Some people are offended by the smell of the litter box, it helps if you use a small amount of litter and change it daily. And cats do shed on the furniture and sometimes guests are very particular about sitting where there have been cats. Sometimes they will claw your furniture, usually that can be prevented by having a scratching post at the sofa or wherever the cat likes to scratch. Some cats are more vocal than others. Probably the worst thing my cat did was make a blood-curdling scream in the middle of the night when the neighbor’s cat came to our glass patio door and puffed up and growled at her. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack for a minute until I figured out it was her. When they are kittens they like to scurry around and swat at things and play, that is a large part of their charm. I sure miss Tag.

Cats are more independent than dogs are. They are good about keeping them self’s clean, they cover there messes up. They catch and eat bugs, rodents and snakes. They are A lot quieter then dogs. Most cats don’t lick there owners. They are good listeners. They are funny and fun to play with and it is easy you can even lay down and play with them.
    Not so goods.)
They scratch things up. They can be very picky eaters. It is harder to tell when there not felling good. Most cats do not like riding in cars. Most cats do not like baths. They are not Very easy to train. (Other than to use the litter box.) They are Very good at hiding. They can fit throw really small holes.

each person see having pets as bit differently but for me, it’s like having kids.
for benefits it’s about loving and caring for another being – feline or not. i enjoy having my cats after a long or hard day and o come home and they greet me at the door and invariably do something cute or stupid to make me laugh.
i enjoy petting them and the comforting sound of their purr and when they come to me to sleep with me and curl up.
a cat sleeping contentedly in a home speaks volumes about the stress level of it’s occupants and can indicate a calm environment.
cats are very intelligent and are trainable despite what some people say. cats like dogs have different levels of intelligence and not all are trainable to the same extent.
cats are or can be more independent and self sufficient than dogs and if you can’t make it home for 5pm every day, they can go to the litter box and not have an accident on the floor.
some people don’t like independent cats as they can be less interesting than interactive dogs. my opinion is that it depends how you raise your animal. cats can be dust collectors or they can be little devils in terms of activity or anything in between.
some people maybe don’t train or stimulate their cats well and they can scratch furniture or carpets but they can be re-trained if one is minded for that. but that’s not a blanket statement as each animal and home is different and i’ve met some stubborn cats!
get a cat when you are ready to take care of him/her and if i could suggest – 2 is always better than one. everyone prefers to have a friend on long sundays or wednesdays. get 2 from the same litter or at the same age from a shelter or spca type place.
hope this long text helps! and remember, it’s just my opinion and not to answer for all cat lovers by any means.

Cats are great because they require so little work. All you have to do is feed and clean their litter box. You do need to give them love and attention however but they want attention when THEY want it. they are also very hyper active as a kitten, but will mellow out as they get older. I love my cats. they will sleep with you and cuddle with you too.(maybe depends on the cat) i definitely recommend
