What Is The Most Amazing Thing You Have Seen A Pet Cat Do?
Did you know that most cats can jump up to six times their own height? – Cats are able to do some extraordinary things when healthy!
Cats by nature are obligate carnivores, so their metabolism and dietary needs are different from other species, including dogs. Cats’ bodies work best when they consume a high-protein diet which reduces reliance on their less-efficient carbohydrate metabolism.
Perhaps you have an amazing story about your own cat, or perhaps it is a friend’s cat – we are looking forward to hearing your best true anecdotes.
My friends cat can say “Jessy is cool”. Of course it’s more like “JRESSSS-EEEE ESE CROOWWWL.”, but nevertheless, the cat intends to say that Jessy is cool. It can also say “What’s up?”…. More like “WRAZZZAAAAPP”.
Not amazing, but cute anyway. One night my parents and I were sitting the the lounge room watching TV while my cat was walking around the room. The door to my dad’s office is in the lounge room and he usually keeps it closed to keep my cat out as she had an “accident” there once, though that night he had forgotten to close it. My cat had wandered up to the entrance of the door and was looking curiously in as she walked up to it, as though she thought she *might* be able to sneak in. Suddenly she realised I was watching her and she swerved and pretended she wasn’t planning to go in at all! Such a sneaky kitten! Just goes to show how smart cats really are!
I was sitting in the living room a couple of weeks ago when our black cat kept meowing at me. He’s the most vocal of the 3 cats we have, and meows whenever he needs something. I went out and checked their food bowls, the water bowl (which is shared with the dogs) and the litter box. They had food, water and the litter box was clean. I went back into the living room and he continued meowing at me. He wandered off, and a few minutes later I heard water running in the bathroom. I ran over thinking that a pipe had broken or the toilet was flooding, and there was the cat, sitting on the sink drinking water out of the faucet. I looked at the water dish again and realized that there was a thin layer of dog fur and drool on top of it. He wanted me to clean the water dish so his water was fresh. One of our dogs has a slight drool issue, and sheds constantly, so even though we have an automatic waterer, we have to clean the basin of it out 2-3 times a day. He was just upset that I didn’t clean it the second he demanded it. Now we have to keep the bathroom door closed because he’d rather drink out of the faucet than a bowl, and he hasn’t quite mastered turning the water OFF after drinking, although I’ve tried to teach him.
