Then I stroke his chin and look into his chocolate brown eyes. Then I move on to shoulders, down the back and spot where tail and body meet. Usually by this time he is so relaxed, that he rolls on his back and I rub his tummy until my back gets tired. I usually start with the area behind the ears. Massage the shoulders, as that gets a lot of stress in dogs. So does the back. Don't press hard, and do NOT press on bone or joints as these will hurt the dog. Ears can be gently massaged and pulled lightly, so can the face aroudn the jaw and between that and the ears. But don't do it if the dog objects.
